We're looking for a hands-on architect with real-world experience implementing, configuring, and operating Microsoft Purview in enterprise environments. The role combines data architecture and data governance design with client-facing consulting: you will lead workshops, design solutions, and drive the Purview implementation from setup to day-to-day operation. This is not a purely advisory position.\nThis is a long-term contract position with projects for candidates based in the EU.\nResponsibilities\nLead the implementation and configuration of Microsoft Purview in enterprise client environments.\n\nDesign data architecture and data governance solutions with Microsoft Purview at the core.\n\nSet up and manage metadata management: data source registration and scanning, classifications, business glossary, and lineage.\n\nBuild and maintain the Data Catalog to enable data discovery across the organisation.\n\nIndependently prepare and lead client workshops to gather requirements and align on solution design.\n\nAct as a consultant to client stakeholders, translating business needs into governance and Purview solutions.\n\nAssess design options and recommend pragmatic, scalable, standards-aligned solutions.\n\nProduce architecture and governance artefacts: solution designs, design decisions, implementation and operating guidelines.\n\nSupport the transition of Purview into day-to-day operation and guide other members of the implementation team.\n\nWork Conditions\nStart Date: ASAP / upcoming projects\n\nLocation: Remote for EU based candidates.\n\nLong-term contract-based role\n\nContact with EU LLC\n\nRequirements\n5+ years' experience in Data Architecture and/or Data Governance.\n\nHands-on experience implementing and configuring Microsoft Purview in a real enterprise environment (not only a PoC or training), with verifiable project references.\n\nStrong experience with metadata management: data source scanning, classification, business glossary, and data lineage.\n\nPractical experience building and operating a Data Catalog.\n\nSolid understanding of data governance frameworks, data ownership, and stewardship models.\n\nExperience independently leading workshops and designing solutions end-to-end.\n\nStrong ownership, structured communication, and the ability to drive decisions to resolution.\n\nAbility to participate in the discussions and lead the technical discussions\n\nHave a consultancy mindset → always try to find a solution for the client\n\nMake decisions about the
