The project focuses on consolidating tracking channels into a single customer entry point, introducing new customer notifications and scaling event-driven APIs.\nResponsibilities\nDevelop and maintain back-end services and APIs on AWS. \nBuild serverless and event-driven features using Lambda, SQS and EventBridge. \nWrite clean, tested and maintainable code, and take part in code reviews. \nWork with product owners, front-end developers and architects to deliver features from start to finish. \nHelp monitor, troubleshoot and improve services running in production.\nExpected competences and knowledge\n3+ years of back-end development experience with Python or Scala.\n\n2-3+ years of hands-on experience with AWS services, including Lambda, API Gateway, SQS, SNS, EventBridge (including Pipes), DynamoDB and S3.\n\nPractical experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL) and NoSQL databases (e.g. DynamoDB), including data modelling and query optimisation.\n\nExperience designing and developing RESTful APIs.\n\nKnowledge of good coding practices, unit and integration testing, code reviews and version control (Git).\n\nExperience with Infrastructure as Code, particularly CloudFormation.\n\nGenuine interest in technology and architecture, with an openness to exploring and discussing different solutions.\n\nGood communication skills and the ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.\n\nProficiency in written and spoken English.\n\nNice to have\n\nPrevious Scala experience is a plus.
