Our company continues to deliver record sales led by a talented team and a commitment to “Fun Served Here”.\nPOSITION SUMMARY: \nUnder the leadership of the Production Manager, the Production Superintendent is responsible for overseeing production operations during the assigned shift, including the mixing and packing of products. This role leads daily production activities to ensure safe, efficient, and compliant operations while meeting production schedules, quality standards, food safety requirements, and labor objectives. The Production Superintendent provides leadership and direction to supervisors, leads, and production employees, with a focus on driving continuous improvement in safety, quality, efficiency, sanitation, employee development, and overall shift performance. \nESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: \nImplements and enforces policies, procedures and standards that support continuous improvement in production yield and efficiency, safety, quality, leadership, cleanliness, food safety, adherence to standard operating procedures, employee understanding of products and processes, teamwork and employee welfare on the assigned shift. \nContinuously evaluates shift performance, analyze operational results, and take corrective action to improve manufacturing performance, labor utilization, safety, quality, cleanliness, yield, efficiency, downtime, attendance, and overall production effectiveness. \nDirects and manages production activities on the assigned shift to ensure production schedules, quality standards, and customer requirements are achieved. \nDevelops, maintains, and enforces production standards and operating procedures to ensure consistent performance and product quality during the assigned shift. \nLeads, coaches, and develops Production Supervisors, Leads, Operators, and production employees to maintain staffing requirements and achieve production objectives. \nPartners with Human Resources to enforce company policies, mission, and values in a fair and consistent manner while fostering a positive and productive work environment \nIdentifies training needs and coordinate employee development opportunities to improve operational knowledge, performance, and cross-functional capabilities. \nEnsures compliance with all environmental, health, safety, quality, food safety, GMP, HACCP, SQF, FDA and company requirements. \nImplements corrective actions relating to accidents, injuries, near misses, quality concerns, food safety issues, and policy violations. \nMonitors shift performance metrics including productivity, labor efficiency, downtime, waste, yield, safety, and quality, and implement corrective actions as necessary. \nCoordinates activities with Maintenance, Quality, Warehouse, Sanitation, and other departments to support efficient operations and minimize production interruptions. \nSupports internal audits, customer audits, and regulatory inspections while ensuring compliance with customer specifications and company standards. \nCommunicates operational priorities, production performance, staffing concerns, and improvement opportunities to management and ensure effective communication between shifts. \nPromotes a culture of continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to improve productivity, reduce waste, enhance quality, and increase employee engagement. \nAdheres to all environmental, health and safety requirements and procedures. \nResponsible for food safety and quality. \nPerforms other duties as assigned by Production Manager. \nCOMPETENCIES: \nTo perform this job successfully, the Superintendent must be self-motivated, able to solve problems, detail-oriented, and able to stay on task.
