Working closely with port processors, internal stakeholders, and service providers, you will drive operational performance, compliance, and cost effectiveness while supporting the seamless delivery of vehicles to retailers and customers. This is a highly visible role that combines operational leadership, vendor management, process improvement, and customer service.\nWhat you will be doing:\nThe Port Manager is responsible for coordinating and directing Jaguar Land Rover Operations at Port Processing facilities contracted by Jaguar Land Rover. \nEach Manager is responsible for the setup and operation of facilities that support Jaguar Land Rover in achieving its company objectives. \nThe Port Manager is to coordinate the successful implementation of JLR service actions and port installed options as may be required for each vehicle.\nPort Manager responsibility is to ensure that all contractual demands agreed with the Port Processor are carried out with quality, performance and cost optimized. \nPort Manager liaises with internal JLR customers (Field Personnel, Distribution, Marketing etc.) to support their requests\nReviews and then approves all port billing for final payment\nExplores opportunities to increase production volume\nSupports all port processing activities from ship arrivals, vehicle upgrades, accessory installs, maintenance activities, claims submission and provides updates as requested on vehicle conditions.\nConducts audits of all facets of the port processing operation from vessel operations through loaded on transporters.\nWhat you will need:\nBachelor's degree in Logistics, Business, Engineering, or similar related discipline is desirable.\n5-7 years of business experience in the Automotive Industry such as Production Systems / Warehousing Operations / Transportation Systems (Ocean, Rail Inland Logistics) / Certified Vehicle Technician\nTWIC - Transport Worker Identification Credential (Must have)\nTWIC - must also be credentialed as a certified TWIC Escort\nMust possess IT skills such as experience with system networks, Wi-Fi, MiFi, multiple pieces of hardware, printers, scanners and laptops\nExperienced with Excel, Power Point, Word and capable of working in multiple proprietary systems such as PVOS, D42, SAP & Vista\nAdvanced project management skills\nAdvanced report writing and presentation skills\nSchedule: Monday-Friday on-site\nBase pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized components, including location, skills, experience, and market factors.
