These core values are part of our keys to success and the skills that embody these values are what drive our success as an organization.\nAs a Corporate Development Intern, you will support the Corporate Development team’s efforts to grow JM Family’s leadership in automotive and beyond through acquisitions, investments, and strategic partnerships. You will contribute research and analytical capacity across the team’s core priorities, helping evaluate markets, companies, and external opportunities while supporting growth within existing businesses and strengthening strategic investment capabilities.\nResponsibilities:\nConduct market, industry, and company research to support the evaluation of new sectors, emerging trends, and potential investment opportunities.\nSupport the evaluation of strategic investments and acquisition opportunities through financial analysis, company research, competitive benchmarking, and due diligence activities.\nPrepare clear, executive-ready materials and investment committee deliverables that synthesize research, financial analysis, and key findings.\nIdentify and track companies, investors, and potential strategic partners relevant to JM Family’s businesses, while supporting portfolio reporting and other Corporate Development initiatives.\nMaintain pipeline trackers, meeting notes, templates, and other department resources, and contribute to playbooks and process improvements.\nBuild effective relationships with functional groups across the enterprise and support business units or portfolio companies on strategic initiatives.\nCreate and maintain stakeholder materials using Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint to support Corporate Development priorities and broader enterprise growth initiatives.\nQualifications:\nThis is a full-time position with flexible working arrangements depending on the business need.\nThe ideal candidate will be actively enrolled in a bachelor’s, master’s, or other degree-seeking program at an accredited college or university, with a focus in a relevant field. Candidates in related fields will also be considered. Must have completed at least one semester of coursework.\nRelevant fields of study include Finance, Business, Strategy, Economics, Accounting, Engineering, or a related discipline, with finance coursework preferred.\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills, intellectual curiosity, and an interest in evaluating businesses, industries, and investment opportunities.\nStrong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint; working knowledge of financial statements and fundamental corporate finance concepts is expected, and prior financial modeling experience is a plus.\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external partners.\nDemonstrated initiative, strong attention to detail, organizational and time management skills, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced, collaborative environment with a high level of integrity.\nThis job description may not be inclusive of all assigned duties, responsibilities, or aspects of the job described, and may be amended at any time at the sole discretion of JM Family.
