This role will provide financial leadership, ensure accurate and timely reporting, support strategic decision-making, and maintain strong accounting practices and internal controls.\n\nPosition Responsibilities\n\nFinancial Management & Reporting\n\nOversee day-to-day accounting and financial reporting activities.\n\nEnsure accurate and timely preparation of financial statements and management reports.\n\nAnalyze financial performance and provide insights to leadership.\n\nMaintain appropriate accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls.\n\nBudgeting & Forecasting\n\nLead the annual budgeting and forecasting processes.\n\nMonitor financial performance against budgets and forecasts.\n\nIdentify financial trends, risks, and opportunities.\n\nSupport leadership with financial planning and decision-making.\n\nAccounting Operations\n\nOversee general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and other accounting functions.\n\nEnsure accurate account reconciliations and timely month-end and year-end close processes.\n\nMaintain compliance with applicable accounting standards and requirements.\n\nCoordinate with external auditors, tax professionals, and financial institutions as needed.\n\nInternal Controls & Compliance\n\nDevelop and maintain effective financial controls and procedures.\n\nMonitor compliance with accounting policies and regulatory requirements.\n\nIdentify financial risks and implement appropriate corrective measures.\n\nSupport audits and ensure required financial documentation is maintained.\n\nLeadership & Business Partnership\n\nLead and develop accounting and finance personnel.\n\nCollaborate with operational and executive teams on financial matters.\n\nProvide financial analysis and recommendations to support business objectives.\n\nPromote continuous improvement across accounting and financial processes.\n\nPrerequisites\n\nBachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.\n\nSignificant experience in accounting and financial management, including experience in a Controller or similar leadership role.\n\nStrong knowledge of financial reporting, accounting principles, budgeting, forecasting, and internal controls.\n\nExperience managing month-end and year-end close processes.\n\nStrong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.\n\nExcellent communication and leadership abilities.\n\nExperience working with accounting and ERP systems.\n\nAbility to manage confidential financial information with discretion.\n\nStrong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.\n\nCertifications (Preferred, but not Required)\n\nCertified Public Accountant (CPA).\n\nCertified Management Accountant (CMA).\n\nCertified Internal Auditor (CIA).\n\nOther relevant accounting or finance certifications.\n\nWhat the Role Offers\n\nCompetitive salary range of $130,000-$180,000 annually.\n\nDiscretionary annual bonus opportunity of up to 10% based on company performance.\n\nMedical insurance with multiple PPO plan options.\n\nCompany-supported medical coverage for employees and dependents.\n\nDental and vision coverage for employees.\n\nCompany-paid basic life insurance.\n\nCompany-paid short- and long-term disability coverage.\n\n401(k) with company matching of up to 4.5%.\n\nAdditional voluntary supplemental insurance options.\n\nOpportunity to provide financial leadership and support strategic business decisions.\n\nProfessional growth opportunities within a leadership-level finance role.\n\nWhy Charlotte?\n\nThe Charlotte area offers a strong business and financial environment with access to a diverse professional workforce and a broad range of industries.
