This role is responsible for optimizing operational performance, improving product quality, managing resources and budgets, and leading teams to achieve production targets while maintaining high standards of safety and continuous improvement.\n\nPosition Responsibilities\n\nManufacturing and Production Management\n\nDirect and coordinate daily manufacturing and production activities to meet customer delivery schedules, quality standards, and cost objectives.\n\nOversee production lines, equipment, maintenance operations, facilities, and resource allocation.\n\nAdjust labor, equipment capacity, and production schedules in response to changing demand and operational requirements.\n\nMonitor key performance indicators, including productivity, equipment reliability, on-time shipments, and product quality.\n\nMaintenance and Operational Excellence\n\nManage maintenance activities to improve equipment reliability, minimize downtime, and extend equipment life.\n\nImplement continuous improvement initiatives using Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Total Productive Maintenance (TPM), and 5S principles.\n\nEvaluate manufacturing processes, equipment performance, and operating practices to identify opportunities for efficiency and cost reduction.\n\nSupport the implementation of new manufacturing methods, technologies, and process improvements.\n\nBudgeting and Strategic Planning\n\nDevelop, manage, and monitor departmental budgets, operating plans, and monthly forecasts.\n\nContribute to capital expenditure planning, equipment investments, and long-term operational strategies.\n\nEvaluate production capacity, inventory requirements, staffing, and resource utilization to meet business objectives.\n\nCollaborate with plant leadership on financial and operational decisions.\n\nSafety, Quality, and Compliance\n\nEnsure compliance with environmental, health, safety, and quality standards.\n\nPromote a culture of workplace safety, housekeeping, and organized production areas.\n\nMonitor quality performance and implement corrective actions to reduce defects and improve consistency.\n\nEnsure adherence to standardized work procedures and process controls.\n\nTeam Leadership and Communication\n\nLead and develop manufacturing managers, supervisors, and production personnel.\n\nPromote employee engagement, accountability, positive labor relations, and effective communication.\n\nProvide regular operational updates to plant leadership regarding safety, quality, production schedules, challenges, and improvement opportunities.\n\nCoordinate with cross-functional teams to support customer satisfaction and organizational goals.\n\nPrerequisites\n\nBachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.\n\nSix to eight years of manufacturing experience in a management capacity.\n\nPrevious experience as a frontline shop supervisor, with exposure to at least two manufacturing support functions, such as production control or quality assurance.\n\nStrong knowledge of manufacturing processes, product structures, quality standards, and modern manufacturing technologies.\n\nWorking knowledge of Total Productive Maintenance (TPM), Statistical Process Control (SPC), 5S, standardized work, and Lean Manufacturing principles.\n\nExperience in production planning, maintenance management, budgeting, and performance improvement.\n\nStrong leadership, employee relations, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.\n\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills.\n\nProficiency in Microsoft Office applications.\n\nCertifications (Preferred, but Not Required)\n\nLean Six Sigma Certification\n\nTotal Productive Maintenance (TPM) Training or Certification\n\nCertified Manufacturing Manager (CMM)\n\nCertified Production and Inventory Management (CPIM)\n\nOccupational Health and Safety Training\n\nRelevant quality management or process improvement certifications\n\nWhat the Role Offers\n\nAnnual salary of $120,000-$150,000.\n\nOpportunities to lead manufacturing operations and drive measurable improvements in productivity, quality, and cost efficiency.\n\nProfessional growth through operational leadership, strategic planning, and continuous improvement initiatives.\n\nThe opportunity to develop manufacturing teams and contribute to long-term business performance.\n\nWhy Peachtree City?\n\nPeachtree City, Georgia, offers access to a strong manufacturing and industrial environment, supported by regional transportation networks and a skilled workforce.
