This role combines technical knowledge, consultative selling, and strategic territory management to help customers improve equipment uptime, workplace safety, energy efficiency, and overall operational performance.

Position Responsibilities

Territory Management and Business Development

Technical Sales and Customer Consultation

  • Conduct customer discovery, onsite assessments, product demonstrations, and technical presentations.
  • Recommend appropriate reliability solutions based on customer needs, equipment conditions, and operational goals.
  • Explain technical concepts and demonstrate the business value of solutions to technical and executive audiences.

Sales Cycle and Account Management

  • Manage the complete sales process, from prospecting and qualification to proposals, negotiations, and closing.
  • Prepare proposals and business cases that demonstrate potential savings, reduced downtime, and improved asset performance.
  • Maintain accurate customer records, sales forecasts, and opportunity updates in a CRM system.
  • Support long-term customer relationships, product adoption, and account growth.

Collaboration and Safety

  • Work with sales, marketing, training, and technical teams to provide a consistent customer experience.
  • Represent the organization at customer sites, industry events, and professional workshops.
  • Follow customer-site safety procedures, personal protective equipment requirements, and company policies.
  • Travel regularly throughout the assigned territory, approximately 50-75% of the time.

Prerequisites

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, industrial technology, business, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
  • At least five years of experience in industrial maintenance, reliability, predictive maintenance, condition monitoring, or related plant operations.
  • Working knowledge of preventive and predictive maintenance, rotating equipment, and common industrial failure modes.
  • Familiarity with reliability technologies such as ultrasound, vibration analysis, infrared thermography, oil analysis, or motor testing.
  • Strong communication, presentation, relationship-building, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to translate technical recommendations into measurable operational and financial benefits.
  • Experience with technical sales, consultative selling, or business development in industrial environments is preferred.
  • Familiarity with CRM platforms and sales pipeline management.
  • Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel up to 75% within the assigned territory.

  • Certified Maintenance and Reliability Professional (CMRP)
  • Certified Reliability Leader (CRL)
  • Vibration Analysis Certification
  • Infrared Thermography Certification
  • Lubrication, Motor Testing, or Precision Maintenance Certifications

  • Health, dental, and vision insurance.
  • Paid time off and retirement contributions.
  • A field-based role with opportunities to develop technical sales expertise and build long-term customer relationships.
  • The opportunity to contribute to business growth, customer success, and continuous improvement within industrial reliability solutions.
