With a global team of 400+ professionals across North America, Delhi, and Bangalore, we operate around the clock to meet the demands of complex projects.\nAt JMT Consultants Detailing Private Limited, we are equally committed to our people, offering strong benefits, growth opportunities, and a culture built on excellence.\nWe are seeking an experienced Assistant Operations Manager to join our dedicated team in the Steel Detailing team.\nJob Responsibilities:\nAssist the Operations Manager in ensuring smooth and efficient day-to-day operations.\nSupport the planning and implementation of operational procedures, processes, and policies.\nSupervise and coordinate day-to-day activities of project teams and staff.\nAssist in reviewing staffing requirements and allocating available resources to different phases of new steel projects.\nMonitor project progress, workflow, manpower utilization, and team productivity.\nConduct periodic quality checks of drawings and models to ensure required quality standards are maintained.\nReview customer standards and coordinate with project teams to ensure deliverables meet client requirements.\nAssist in identifying operational problems, bottlenecks, and opportunities for improvement.\nSupport the Operations Manager in preparing operational reports, planning, and performance reviews.\nLead, motivate, and support team members to achieve productivity and quality targets.\nMonitor manpower utilization and ensure resources are effectively deployed.\nProvide regular updates to the Operations Manager on production, staffing, quality, delivery, and operational issues.\nAssist in planning & managing steel detailing projects from project kickoff with project schedules, specifications & customer requirements.\nCoordinate with Project Managers, Assistant Project Managers, Checkers, Modelers & Editors to establish project priorities, responsibilities & delivery schedules.\nReview project schedules & identify potential delays, manpower shortages, technical challenges, or production risks at an early stage.\nAssist in balancing workloads among Project Managers, Checkers, Modelers & Editors to improve overall resource utilization.\nMonitor drawing and model quality, including recurring detailing errors, checking comments, customer comments & fabrication related issues.\nIdentify skill gaps within project teams and coordinate technical training, mentoring & development programs for Modelers, Editors, Checkers & other production staff.\nAssist in conducting performance reviews of project teams & provide operational feedback regarding individual & team performance.\nAssist in handling urgent customer requirements & ensure appropriate resources are assigned to meet critical project deadlines.\nQualifications:\nUnder Grad: B. Tech/B.E. - Civil, Mechanical\nDiploma: Any Postgraduate - Any Specialization, PG Diploma - Any Specialization, Civil, Mechanical\n15+ Years of experience in the Steel Detailing industry willing to consider candidates who can demonstrate significant experience in a related field\n10+ Years of experience in Project Management\nAdvanced level of knowledge of Tekla Structures\nMust know AISC & CISC Standards\nConsiderable proficiency and experience in working on Commercial US Projects.\nExperience in structural and miscellaneous steel construction, fabrication, and the ability to read drawings\nProven project management and coordination skills\nSelf-motivated and ability to complete multiple tasks with minimal guidance\nDeadline-driven with attention to detail\nMust have 5+ years’ experience in AISC / CISC Projects\nMust have good communication skills.
