Operations\n\nAdministration and support of Microsoft SQL Server 2019–2022 in a production environment.\n\nMonitoring database health, performance, availability, and capacity.\n\nManagement of Backup & Restore, recovery, and disaster recovery procedures.\n\nSupport and maintenance of High Availability solutions, including Always On Availability Groups, Log Shipping, and Replication.\n\nPlanning and execution of SQL Server upgrades, patching, and migrations.\n\nManagement of database security, authentication, permissions, and access controls.\n\nWorking with SQL Server Agent and supporting scheduled database jobs.\n\nPerformance Tuning & Troubleshooting\n\nInvestigation and resolution of database performance issues in production.\n\nAnalysis and optimization of SQL queries, execution plans, and database workloads.\n\nMonitoring wait statistics, system resources, and performance bottlenecks.\n\nDevelopment and maintenance of indexing and statistics strategies.\n\nTroubleshooting blocking, deadlocks, concurrency issues, and long-running queries.\n\nUse of Query Store, Extended Events, and Dynamic Management Views (DMVs) for performance diagnostics.\n\nConducting Root Cause Analysis of production incidents and recurring database problems.\n\nIdentifying potential risks and proactively resolving issues before they impact the business.\n\nDatabase Development Support\n\nSupporting development teams on SQL and T-SQL optimization.\n\nReviewing database designs, schemas, and data models.\n\nParticipation in deployment and release activities.\n\nSupporting SSIS packages and database integration processes.\n\nParticipation in code reviews of stored procedures, views, functions, and ETL solutions.\n\nCollaboration with development, BI, ETL, and data teams to improve database performance and reliability.\n\nMonitoring & Automation\n\nImplementation and support of SQL Server monitoring solutions.\n\nDevelopment of proactive health checks, alerts, and diagnostic procedures.\n\nCreation of automation scripts using T-SQL and PowerShell.\n\nContinuous improvement of operational processes and reduction of manual administration efforts.\n\nSupport and development of technical documentation, operational procedures, and knowledge base.\n\nMust Have\n\n3+ years of experience as a Microsoft SQL Server DBA, Database Engineer, or in a similar role.\n\nStrong hands-on experience with Microsoft SQL Server.\n\nPractical experience in database administration and production support.\n\nExperience with Power BI and support of data sources / backend performance.\n\nPractical experience with at least one of the relational database technologies — PostgreSQL or MySQL.\n\nGood level of T-SQL and practical experience with query optimization.\n\nExperience with Execution Plans, Query Store, Extended Events, DMVs, Wait Statistics, indexing, and statistics management.\n\nPractical experience with SQL Server performance diagnostics, including blocking, deadlocks, concurrency issues, execution plans, indexing strategies, and resource bottleneck analysis.\n\nPractical experience with Backup & Restore, Always On Availability Groups, Replication, SQL Server Agent, and Database Security.\n\nUnderstanding of authentication, permissions, and access controls.\n\nSolid understanding of Windows Server fundamentals.\n\nExperience with ticketing systems and incident management processes.\n\nAbility to independently diagnose, investigate, and resolve complex technical issues.\n\nUkrainian and/or Russian language — mandatory.\n\nEnglish — B1 level or higher.\n\nNice to Have\n\nExperience with Azure — Azure SQL Database, Azure SQL Managed Instance, or other cloud database services.\n\nExperience with AWS and cloud database services.\n\nDeeper experience administering PostgreSQL / MySQL.\n\nExperience with SSIS, ETL, and Data Warehouse solutions.\n\nPowerShell scripting and automation.\n\nExperience with VMware environments.\n\nExperience with large database environments, including 1 TB+.\n\nExperience with monitoring and observability platforms.\n\nExperience
