Accountant

ACCOUNTANT

Salary: R25 000 - R30 000 per month (Negotiable)

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to join a dynamic finance team. The successful candidate will support the Financial Manager and assist in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of all financial functions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Capturing of cash book transactions and daily cash-up reconciliations
• General ledger functions, including journal entries
• Debtors administration, including invoicing, account reconciliations, and collections
• Creditors administration, including invoice capturing, account reconciliations, and payment loading
• Stock administration, including invoice capturing and monthly stocktakes
• Petty cash administration
• Ordering of centralized goods
• General office and administrative duties

Minimum Requirements:

• Grade 12 (Matric)
• Tertiary qualification in Finance, Accounting, or Bookkeeping (completed or currently studying)
• Fluent in English and Afrikaans
• Minimum 3 years' experience in a similar accounting role
• Previous experience within the hospitality or agricultural sector will be advantageous
• Excellent Microsoft Office skills
• Experience with Pastel (Sage) Evolution or a similar accounting package
• Exposure to Easipos will be advantageous
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to take ownership of responsibilities
• Professional communication skills and the ability to work effectively across departments
• Flexible, reliable, and accountable
