The role creates the capacity the finance team needs so that senior resources can move away from day to day processing and focus on analysis, forecasting and business partnering.\nThe group is dynamic. The duties attached to this role will change from time to time to support the development of the group, and the successful candidate needs to be comfortable with that.\nRequirements:\n Minimum\nB.Com degree, or equivalent.\nRelevant accounting experience, including exposure to reporting and reconciliations.\nStrong Excel and systems ability.\nAdvantageousSAIPA or CIMA qualified.\nExposure to group consolidations and multi entity or multi currency reporting.\nPrevious supervisory or team leadership experience.\nAttributesSelf starter who takes ownership without needing to be managed closely.\nPositive attitude.\nCan do attitude, comfortable in a dynamic environment where duties evolve.\nAccurate, deadline driven and comfortable working across teams.\nResponsibilities: Group reporting\nPreparation and review of monthly and periodic group reporting packs.\nEnsuring reporting deadlines, accuracy and supporting reconciliations are met.\nVariance analysis and commentary to support management review.\nTreasuryCash planning and cash flow forecasting across the group.\nOversight of the treasury and cash planning resource reporting into this role.\nDaily bank functions may be added to this area over time.\nCustomer profitabilityPreparation and maintenance of customer profitability analysis.\nIdentifying and reporting on margin and profitability trends by customer.\nWorking with the Group Accountant, who retains oversight of this area.\nGroup consolidationsPreparation of group consolidations, including intercompany elimination and reconciliation.\nSupporting the consolidation of foreign operations, including the UK.\nDynamic FunctionsSupport other functions within the finance department on a need basis. It’s imperative that the ideal candidate are willing to move in between functions within finance as the business requirements change.\nTeam and generalManagement of the Accounts Receivable team.\nDay to day processing support as required, including support to the UK operation.\nOther relevant ad hoc functions as would reasonably be expected of an accountant.\nDuties may change from time to time to support group developments.\n Please note only shortlisted candidates will be contacted.
