This is far more than a processing role - you'll be involved in accounting, payroll, month-end, reporting, inventory, costing, compliance and team oversight.\nResponsibilities\nFull day-to-day accounting and bookkeeping\n\nMonth-end close and management reporting\n\nMonthly salaries and weekly wages\n\nDebtors, creditors and reconciliations\n\nInventory, costing and manufacturing variances\n\nVAT, PAYE, audit and compliance\n\nCash flow and working capital information\n\nReviewing and developing junior finance staff\n\nWorking with external auditors, tax practitioners and advisers\n\nImproving systems, processes and financial controls\n\nExperience and Qualifications\nBCom Accounting or relevant equivalent qualification\n\n4-7 years' relevant accounting experience\n\nStrong hands-on accounting, payroll, month-end & reporting experience\n\nIntermediate-Advanced Excel skills - Pivot Tables, lookups & analytical schedules\n\nStrong accounting systems aptitude\n\nXero experience advantageous\n\nCin7 or similar inventory system exposure advantageous\n\nManufacturing / production costing / stock-based environment experience advantageous\n\nCompleted articles, SAIPA, AGA (SA) or progress towards a professional designation would be beneficial\n\nThis role is perfect for the type of Accountant who doesn't want to be told what to do.
