The successful candidate will primarily be responsible for the financial function of the packaged wine department, while also providing support to the department’s marketing and sales functions. The successful candidate will report to the Financial Manager.\nKey Responsibilities\nAccounting\nManage the full financial function of the packaged wine company for both national and international markets\n\nPrepare, manage and report on the annual marketing and sales budget for packaged wine in collaboration with the marketing team\n\nDetermine and reconcile standard costs per packaged wine product and customer\n\nCalculate and process commission payments to agents and consultants.\n\nPackaged Products\nEnsure compliance with statutory requirements relating to packaged wine\n\nStock control / management with regard to packaged product\n\nMonitor and reconcile the packaging of products at external packaging facilities\n\nMarketing\nContribute to the development of marketing and sales strategies\n\nProvide input through marketing reports, meetings and annual planning\n\nAnalyse and monitor marketing and sales functions, and make recommendations for improvements\n\nManage, monitor and support the marketing team with marketing materials and activities\n\nMinimum Requirements\nA degree in Accounting (BCom Accounting or equivalent qualification)\n\nA minimum of 3-5 years’ relevant accounting experience\n\nExperience in the wine industry, FMCG or a marketing environment, preferably involving packaged or bottled wine\n\nProficiency in Microsoft Excel and Pastel (experience in WineMS will be an advantage)\n\nStrong attention to detail and the ability to work accurately under pressure\n\nGood communication skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a
