This role will work closely with the Financial Manager and will be responsible for financial reporting, reconciliations, budgeting, and reviewing the work of junior accountants.\nKey Responsibilities\nPrepare and review monthly management accounts\nReview salary, prepaid, and receipting reconciliations\nPerform monthly reconciliations between accounting systems (e.g. Sitelink and MRI)\nReview VAT201 submissions and year-to-date reconciliations\nMaintain and update cash flow forecasts\nPrepare Budget vs Actual reports\nPrepare and review adjustment accounts for property acquisitions and disposals\nProcess acquisition and disposal journals, including capital gains tax calculations\nAssist with onboarding and offboarding of properties on MRI\nSupport tax planning initiatives\nPrepare annual financial statements and assist with audit queries\nPortfolio Exposure\nThe role will support a diverse property portfolio, including:\nStudent accommodation\nStorage facilities\nOffice spaces\nRetail properties\nIndustrial properties\nCore Competencies & Skills\nStrong analytical ability with attention to detail\nExcellent problem-solving skills, particularly with complex reconciliations\nHigh level of accuracy in financial reporting and tax submissions\nStrong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines\nEffective prioritisation and time management\nAdaptable and able to work in a changing environment\nWillingness to learn new systems and processes\nRequirements\nRelevant accounting qualification\nProven experience in a similar accounting role (property experience advantageous)\nExperience with accounting systems such as MRI (advantageous)\nStrong Excel skills\nOnly shortlisted candidates will be contacted.
