Perform professional spray-painting and finishing work in accordance with required quality standards.
Prepare surfaces for painting, including cleaning, sanding, masking, priming and filling.
Mix and apply paints, primers, coatings and finishing products according to manufacturer specifications.
Ensure accurate colour matching and achieve a high-quality, consistent finish.
Inspect completed work for imperfections, defects and quality issues and complete any necessary touch-ups.
Follow correct procedures when handling paints, solvents, chemicals and other materials.
Maintain a clean, organised and safe working environment.
Ensure all work is completed efficiently, accurately and within required timeframes.
Follow workplace health and safety procedures and all relevant painting regulations and standards.
Care for and correctly maintain spray-painting equipment, tools and machinery.
Work closely with colleagues and supervisors to ensure work is completed according to specifications.
Be willing and available to work overtime when operational requirements demand it.
REQUIREMENTS
Qualified Spray Painter / recognised spray-painting qualification.
5-10 years’ relevant spray-painting experience.
Strong practical knowledge of professional spray-painting techniques and finishing processes.
Previous aircraft spray-painting experience will be highly advantageous.
Experience within an aviation, automotive, industrial or similar technical environment will be considered.
Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality workmanship.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Reliable, disciplined and able to work to deadlines.
Good understanding of workplace health and safety requirements.
Must be flexible and willing to work overtime when required.
