Permanent\nKey Responsibilities\nThe successful candidate will, amongst others:\nManage and administer third-party claims from inception to finalisation.\nAssess claims, gather supporting documentation and evaluate the merits of each matter.\nDraft legal correspondence, pleadings and other relevant legal documents.\nLiaise with clients, medical practitioners, experts, insurers and other relevant parties.\nConduct legal research and provide advice on third-party claims matters.\nMonitor claim progress, follow up on outstanding documentation and ensure deadlines are met.\nNegotiate settlements where appropriate and assist with litigation proceedings when required.\nMaintain accurate case files and ensure compliance with relevant legal procedures and requirements.\nProvide regular updates to clients regarding the progress of their claims.\nQualifications, Skills and Experience\nThe ideal candidate should possess:\nAn LLB degree and admission as an Attorney of the High Court of South Africa.\n2-3 years’ experience in third-party claims, gained during or after articles.\nPractical experience handling third-party claims matters independently, where appropriate.\nSound knowledge of relevant legislation, legal procedures and claims processes.\nStrong legal drafting, analytical and problem-solving skills.\nExcellent client liaison, negotiation and communication abilities.\nFluency in both Afrikaans and English, with strong written and verbal communication skills.\nExcellent organisational skills, attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple matters effectively.\nA professional, proactive and client-focused
