This role is ideal for a hands-on leader with strong technical expertise in coal-fired chain grate boilers and biomass boiler systems, coupled with proven supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment.\nIf you are safety-focused, technically skilled, and thrive in a fast-paced production environment, we would like to hear from you.\nMinimum Requirements\nGrade 12 or equivalent qualification.\n\n3-5 years' experience in a similar Boiler House supervisory role.\n\nProven experience operating and maintaining coal-fired chain grate boilers with operating pressures exceeding 20 bar.\n\nEssential experience operating and maintaining biomass boilers.\n\nSound knowledge of boiler operations, pressure vessel preparation, and testing.\n\nBasic computer literacy and good numerical ability.\n\nFluent in English (written and verbal).\n\nWillingness to work shifts and overtime when required.\n\nAbility to work independently while leading a team effectively.\n\nKey Responsibilities\nSupervise, lead, and motivate the Boiler House team.\n\nOperate and maintain coal-fired chain grate boilers and biomass boiler systems.\n\nEnsure safe, efficient boiler operations in line with operational requirements.\n\nConduct fault finding, troubleshooting, and attend to equipment breakdowns.\n\nPrepare pressure vessels for inspections and statutory testing.\n\nOptimise equipment performance and resource utilisation.\n\nEnsure compliance with standard operating procedures and relevant legislation.\n\nMonitor and enforce health, safety, and environmental standards.\n\nApply company policies, procedures, and disciplinary processes where required.\n\nPromote a culture of safety, operational excellence, and continuous improvement.\n\nSkills & Attributes\nStrong leadership and supervisory skills.\n\nExcellent problem-solving and fault-finding ability.\n\nSafety-conscious with a disciplined approach to operations.\n\nSelf-motivated, proactive, and dependable.\n\nAble to prioritise workload and perform well under pressure.\n\nTeam player with a strong work ethic.\n\nPlease note that only shortlisted candidates will be contacted.
