regulated financial services environment.\nKey Responsibilities\nCollections & Credit Operations Management\nOversee the day-to-day collections and recoveries operations.\n\nManage delinquent accounts and ensure effective collections strategies are executed.\n\nHandle escalated customer matters and ensure positive customer outcomes.\n\nMonitor collections performance and implement corrective actions where required.\n\nEnsure operational processes are efficient, compliant, and aligned with business objectives.\n\nDrive continuous improvement initiatives across collections and credit operations.\n\nPortfolio & Risk Management\nAnalyze client portfolios to identify trends, risks, and potential areas of concern.\n\nConduct detailed assessments of client financial positions to determine appropriate intervention strategies.\n\nProvide recommendations to enhance collections, recoveries, and credit risk management practices.\n\nMaintain and monitor operational risk registers and mitigation plans.\n\nIdentify opportunities to improve credit decisioning and collections outcomes through data-driven insights.\n\nProcess Improvement & Strategy\nDesign, review, and optimize collections and credit operations processes.\n\nDevelop and document operating procedures, policies, and process flows.\n\nImplement solutions and initiatives aimed at improving collections performance and operational efficiency.\n\nMonitor key performance metrics and address operational bottlenecks.\n\nSupport the development and enhancement of collections and credit policies.\n\nStakeholder Management\nBuild and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.\n\nManage relationships and performance of external collections partners and service providers.\n\nEnsure compliance with service-level agreements and regulatory requirements.\n\nCollaborate with various business units to improve customer and operational outcomes.\n\nLeadership & People Management\nLead, coach, and develop the collections operations team.\n\nDrive a culture of accountability, performance, and continuous learning.\n\nEnsure employees are suitably trained and equipped to meet current and future business demands.\n\nSupport workforce planning and succession development initiatives.\n\nMinimum Requirements\nBachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Law, Business Management, or a related field.\n\nFAIS Accreditation.\n\nMinimum 4-6 years' experience in debt management services.\n\nMinimum 4-6 years' experience in credit operations, collections, recoveries, or operational risk management within the banking or financial services sector.\n\nProven people management experience.\n\nExperience in process design, optimization, and operational improvement initiatives.\n\nStrong understanding of collections strategies, recoveries processes, and credit risk management.\n\nAdvantageous Qualifications\nHonours Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Law, or Business Management.\n\nNQF Level 9 qualification such as MBA, MBL, or MCom.\n\nKey Competencies\nLeadership and people management\n\nStrategic
