Data Analyst
Key Responsibilities
Design, build and maintain reports and dashboards using BI and reporting tools (Power BI) to meet business and departmental reporting requirements.
Gather and clarify reporting requirements from stakeholders, translating business questions into well-defined metrics and data models.
Deliver accurate, timely recurring reports and respond to ad-hoc analysis requests.
Define and document consistent metric definitions for trustworthy reporting.
Help stakeholders adopt self-service dashboards and promote good reporting practice.
Perform data-quality checks and validate outputs before publication.
Support data engineering with data preparation, transformation and modelling tasks.
Write and optimise SQL to extract and shape data across relational databases (MS SQL, MariaDB, PostgreSQL).
Assist in maintaining and improving data pipelines and automation stack.
Provide backup and continuity for core data tasks.
Collaborate with Data Engineers and Data Automation resources.
Support and mentor Junior Analysts.
Maintain clear documentation of reports, datasets, definitions and processes.
