Data Steward

Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related NQF7 qualification.
• Minimum 5 to 8 years' experience in the following:
  • Data Governance
  • Metadata Management
  • Master Data Management
  • Business Intelligence
  • Data Development
• Relevant certification, such as Certified Data Steward, will be advantageous.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and maintain metadata to ensure data is accurate, consistent, secure, and compliant.
• Support the acquisition and integration of new data sources.
• Ensure published data is discoverable, meaningful, and accessible to stakeholders.
• Monitor data usage, relevance, and quality, implementing improvements where required.
• Maintain data integrity across systems and resolve data quality issues proactively.
• Support information consumers with reliable data and insights for decision-making.
• Drive continuous improvement of data management processes, tools, and methodologies.
