Lodge Maintenance & Operations\nOversee the maintenance function, operational efficiencies, energy usage and general upkeep of the lodge.\n⭐ Hospitality Management\nSupport the General Manager in delivering seamless five-star service, managing daily operations and maintaining exceptional guest relations.\nWHAT YOU'LL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR\nDelivering an outstanding guest journey from arrival through to departure\nSupporting the General Manager with daily operations, staff allocation, rostering and briefings\nTaking the operational lead when the General Manager is away\nOverseeing lodge maintenance and ensuring operational efficiency\nManaging operational equipment, stock and departmental orders\nMonitoring stock counts and maintaining accurate stock control\nManaging energy usage and the lodge's solar power plant\nConducting Big 5 game drives and walking safaris\nActing as Duty Ranger when required\nHosting bush boma experiences and other guest activities\nPresenting engaging talks, snake demonstrations, bird walks and tree walks\nTaking responsibility for an allocated guiding vehicle\nSupporting game walks and guiding operations as required\nAssisting with general lodge operations and guest/staff transportation\nMaintaining high standards across guest-facing and operational areas\nMentoring, coaching and supporting team members\nBuilding strong relationships with guests and colleagues while consistently representing five-star service standards\n? WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR\nYou will need to be an experienced hospitality professional with a genuine passion for wildlife, guiding and luxury guest experiences.Essential:\nMinimum 2 years' experience in a 5-star lodge environment\nProven experience guiding Big 5 walking safaris within a Big 5 reserve\nStrong lodge maintenance and operational knowledge\nPrDP and Code 8 driver's licence\nFirearm competency for business purposes\n FGASA Advanced Rifle Handling (ARH) with current competency\nValid First Aid Certificate - Level 2 or higher preferred\nNDT registered or CATHSSETA qualified\nComputer literate\nAdvantageous:Trails Guide qualification accredited for Big 5 walking trails\n?
