MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS\nGrade 12 / Matric.\nRelevant technical qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mining Engineering or a related field will be advantageous.\nRelevant training in pump operation, water management, maintenance or dewatering systems will be beneficial.\nValid driver's licence.\n3. EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTSMinimum 3-5 years' experience in mine dewatering, pumping operations or a related mining environment.\nPrevious supervisory experience in an open-cast mining operation, preferably coal mining.\nPractical experience with industrial pumps, pipelines, hoses and dewatering equipment.\nExperience coordinating maintenance, breakdowns and equipment installations.\nExperience managing teams, contractors and operational resources.\nUnderstanding of mining safety procedures and water management requirements.\n TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE AND COMPETENCIES\nDewatering systems and pump operations.\nPump capacity, flow rates, pressure and pumping efficiency.\nPipeline installation, inspection and maintenance.\nWater-level monitoring and flooding risk management.\nPreventive maintenance and equipment troubleshooting.\nMine Health and Safety Act requirements and risk assessment procedures.\nOperational reporting, cost monitoring and resource planning.\nMicrosoft Office and basic reporting systems.\n4. KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS (KPIs)\nAvailability and reliability of dewatering equipment.\nCompliance with mine safety standards and procedures.\nReduction in water-related production delays.\nTimely identification and resolution of water accumulation risks.\nPreventive maintenance compliance.\nControl of dewatering operating costs against budget.\nAccuracy and timeliness of operational reports.\nTeam productivity, competency and adherence to safety requirements.\n5.
