Responsibilities include managing staff, maintaining the range's cleanliness and appearance, managing inventory of golf balls and supplies, and potentially assisting with golf instruction or events.\nAnother primary function of the Driving Range Supervisor is providing first-contact, customer interaction including, ball sales, selling merchandise. Responsible for the consistent delivery of expected service levels as well as effective communication both with clients as well as ensuring cross departmental communication. Liaising with the relevant departments, clients and all other parties involved to ensure successful logistics, resulting in outstanding guest satisfaction.\nThe Driving Range Supervisor will also be assigned specific, often varying tasks on a day-to-day basis by the General Manager and Golf Manager. It is critical that the Driving Range Supervisor be able to adapt to meet changing demands and requirements while in the workplace.\n Duties and Responsibilities:\nExcellent communication skills demonstrating honesty and integrity.\nPrepare and implement regular ball counts and reports.\nOpening and closing of the facility, managing the advertised operating hours.\nPerforming daily cash ups and all other administrative tasks.\nRegularly assess, together with the Golf Manager, to ensure that stock rotation and quantities are maintained.\nPerform shop stock checks and submit relevant reports.\nProvide information to both existing and potential clients based on information provided in meetings, phone calls and via email.\nEnsure that payments are received upfront, effectively managing ball sales.\nManage client and member requests and concerns and provide feedback to the relevant parties.\nAssist with hiring, training, scheduling, and supervising of driving range staff.\nEnsuring the driving range is clean, well-maintained, and safe. This includes tasks like ball retrieval, ball washing, mat replacement, divot repair, and keeping the area free of litter.\nMaintaining adequate supplies of range balls, tees, and other necessary items, and managing inventory levels to ensure smooth operations.\nProviding excellent customer service to guests, addressing inquiries, and ensuring a positive experience on the range.\nEnforcing safety regulations, educating staff and guests on safety procedures, and maintaining a safe environment on the driving range.\nMay be involved in managing budgets, tracking revenue, and other potential reporting.\nAssisting with the setup and execution of golf events held at the driving range.\nCommunicating effectively with other staff members, management, and customers to ensure smooth operations.\nEnsuring the overall appearance and functionality of the driving range, including related areas like the practice green and bunkers.\nWorking with other departments (e.g., golf shop) to coordinate activities and provide a seamless experience for guests.\nOther:\nBrainstorming and implementing event plans and concepts.\nPOS Management\nData Integrity\nGeneral administration\nIn store Merchandising standards\nAssisting with shop budgeting and invoicing in conjunction with Golf Manager.\nLiaising with vendors making sure the necessary documents are provided pertaining to BBBEE compliance.\nUpdating senior management on any relevant information or incidents.\nOnly shortlisted candidates will be contacted.
