Requirements:Red Seal Electrical Artisan qualification or an equivalent recognised qualification.\nRelevant experience in electrical installation, testing and commissioning.\nExperience in electrical calibration, loop checks and functional testing.\nKnowledge of inverters, transformers, switchgear, distribution boards, control panels and associated electrical equipment.\nUnderstanding of battery energy storage systems (BESS), electrical safety and associated operating principles.\nKnowledge of the Mine Health and Safety Act (MHSA), Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSACT) and applicable electrical regulations.\nExperience with permit-to-work systems, lock-out/tag-out (LOTO), isolations, risk assessments and toolbox talks.\nExperience monitoring construction progress, productivity, resource requirements and project schedules.\nExperience managing punch lists, non-conformances, inspection records, test packs and project handover documentation.\nStrong leadership, communication, planning, organisational and problem-solving skills.\nHigh safety awareness, attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure and meet project deadlines.\nWillingness to work on-site at the with inverters, transformers, battery systems, protection systems and control interfaces.\nExperience coordinating energisation, mechanical completion, commissioning and final project handover.\nRoles & Responsibilities:Electrical & Instrumentation Construction Supervision\nSupervise and coordinate all electrical and instrumentation construction activities on-site.\nOnboard, manage and supervise electrical and instrumentation contractors.\nEnsure installations are completed in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, method statements and project requirements.\nSupervise the installation of battery energy storage systems and associated equipment.\nOversee the installation of inverters, transformers, switchgear and distribution boards.\nSupervise the installation of cable trays, conduits, cables, glands and terminations.\nMonitor the installation of earthing, bonding and lightning protection systems.\nSupervise the installation of instrumentation, control panels, sensors and field devices.\nCoordinate the installation of communications, protection and control systems.\nVerify compliance with issued-for-construction (IFC) drawings, approved design changes and technical specifications.\nCoordinate work fronts and allocate resources in accordance with the approved project plan.\n Safety, Health & Environmental ComplianceEstablish and maintain a strong safety culture across all electrical and instrumentation construction activities.\nEnsure compliance with the MHSA, OHSACT, applicable electrical regulations and company safety procedures.\nReview and enforce contractor method statements, risk assessments and permit-to-work requirements.\nCoordinate pre-work risk assessments, toolbox talks, planned task observations (PTOs) and electrical isolations.\nEnsure safe working practices around live electrical equipment and battery energy storage systems.\nVerify contractor tools, equipment and test instruments before use.\nEnforce lock-out/tag-out procedures and isolation requirements.\nIdentify and manage electrical, instrumentation and construction risks.\nStop unsafe or non-compliant work and escalate significant safety concerns to the Project Manager.\nTesting, Commissioning & Quality ControlSupervise electrical testing, instrument calibration, loop checks and functional testing.\nCoordinate inspections and testing with quality, commissioning and engineering teams.\nVerify that installations meet approved specifications, quality plans and inspection requirements.\nEnsure testing and commissioning activities are completed in accordance with approved procedures.\nMonitor and manage electrical and instrumentation punch-list items and non-conformances.\nFollow up on corrective actions and verify that outstanding defects are resolved.\nSupport mechanical completion, energisation and commissioning readiness.\nVerify the completion and accuracy of as-built drawings, test packs and handover documentation.\nEnsure all required quality and commissioning records are available for project acceptance.\nProject Planning & Progress MonitoringMonitor construction progress, productivity and resource requirements against the project schedule.\nTrack progress against project milestones and approved completion dates.\nIdentify delays, site constraints, technical risks and interface issues.\nImplement or recommend recovery actions to minimise delays and maintain project progress.\nCoordinate construction activities with engineering, procurement, commissioning and other project disciplines.\nEnsure contractors have the necessary resources, materials, equipment and information to complete their work.\nProvide regular progress updates to the Project Manager and escalate issues that may affect project delivery.\n Contractor & Stakeholder CoordinationCoordinate daily activities with electrical and instrumentation contractors, construction teams and engineering personnel.\nWork closely with the Project Manager, Senior Project Manager, Process Manager, Plant Managers and Plant Engineering Team.\nLiaise with electrical and instrumentation engineering teams, commissioning personnel, safety and quality departments.\nCoordinate with procurement, battery system suppliers, original equipment manufacturers (OEMs), inspection authorities and testing specialists.\nVerify contractor compliance with company standards, approved procedures and project requirements.\nResolve construction interface issues and technical challenges in collaboration with relevant stakeholders.\nCommunicate site requirements, progress concerns and corrective actions clearly and professionally.\nReporting & Project DocumentationMaintain accurate daily site diaries, inspection records, progress reports and commissioning records.\nMonitor contractor performance, productivity and compliance with project requirements.\nEnsure inspection records, test results and technical documentation are properly maintained.\nTrack punch-list items, non-conformances, corrective actions and outstanding deliverables.\nVerify the completion of as-built drawings, test packs and project handover documentation.\nProvide regular updates on construction progress, safety performance, quality concerns and project risks.\nEnsure project records comply with applicable company procedures and governance requirements.\nCompliance & Continuous ImprovementEnsure electrical and instrumentation installations comply with approved standards, codes of practice, drawings and specifications.\nApply approved systems, procedures and technical requirements throughout construction.\nVerify contractor compliance with safety, quality and project requirements.\nRecommend corrective actions for safety, quality, technical and schedule deviations.\nEscalate significant technical, safety, quality and commercial matters to the Project Manager.\nParticipate in lessons-learned activities and identify opportunities to improve construction and commissioning processes.\nPromote accountability, teamwork, safety awareness and continuous improvement across the project team.\nSupport the successful
