Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12 / Matric.
- Qualified Electrician with a recognised electrical trade qualification.
- Electrical Trade Test Certificate is essential.
- Wireman's Licence / Electrical Installation Regulations certification will be advantageous.
- Minimum 2-5 years' experience as a qualified electrician.
- Experience in an industrial, manufacturing, mining or commercial environment will be advantageous.
- Valid driver's licence preferred.
- Strong electrical fault-finding and troubleshooting skills.
- Good knowledge of electrical installations and maintenance.
- Ability to read electrical drawings and schematics.
- Knowledge of motors, control panels, DB boards, PLCs and electrical control systems.
- Good understanding of electrical safety regulations and procedures.
- Ability to use electrical testing equipment and hand tools.
- Basic computer literacy for maintenance records and reporting.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Safety-conscious and responsible.
- Good problem-solving abilities.
- Reliable and punctual.
- Able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication skills.
- Able to work under pressure and respond to breakdowns efficiently.
- Physically fit and comfortable working in an industrial environment.
