the Role\nAn exciting opportunity exists for an experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer (10+ years) to join a highly skilled Mechanical Engineering team, contributing to technically challenging process plant projects.The successful candidate will take responsibility for the design and engineering of mechanical process equipment, providing technical guidance and supporting projects from concept through to commissioning.\nProven experience in pressure vessel and/or shell-and-tube heat exchanger design is an essential requirement.\nKey Responsibilities\nDesign and review pressure vessels, heat exchangers, piping systems and associated process plant equipment.\nPerform engineering calculations, equipment sizing and technical assessments.\nDevelop and review mechanical specifications, drawings, datasheets and fabrication documentation.\nProvide technical guidance to mechanical engineers, designers and draughtsmen.\nSupport projects through detailed engineering, fabrication, installation and commissioning.\nEnsure compliance with applicable engineering codes, standards and client specifications.\nCollaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams, clients and equipment suppliers.\nMinimum Requirements\nBEng Mechanical Engineering.\nMinimum 10 years' mechanical design experience, preferably within process plant or EPCM environments.\nEssential: Demonstrable experience in pressure vessel and/or shell-and-tube heat exchanger design.\nStrong knowledge of process piping, mechanical equipment, fabrication and manufacturing.\nFamiliarity with relevant pressure equipment codes and standards, including ASME, EN and SANS.\nExperience with Autodesk Inventor, Plant 3D, PV-Elite or CAESAR II advantageous.\n ECSA Professional Registration (Pr Eng)
