Relevant technical or trade background in Electrical, Mechanical, HVAC, Refrigeration, Plumbing or a related facilities discipline\n- Minimum 2 to 4 years’ relevant facilities or building maintenance experience\n- Previous hands-on maintenance experience within a hotel or commercial office/property environment - essential\n- Strong all-round technical knowledge across HVAC, air-conditioning, refrigeration, plumbing, electrical and general building maintenance\n- Practical experience servicing, maintaining and fault-finding on air-conditioning and HVAC systems\n- Working knowledge of commercial refrigeration equipment, including cold rooms, chillers, freezers, refrigerators and ice machines, advantageous\n- Practical plumbing experience, including piping, taps, toilets, drainage and leak repairs\n- Good electrical fault-finding and maintenance experience appropriate to your qualification and authorised scope\n- Experience with general building repairs, fixtures, fittings, doors, locks and minor carpentry\n- Strong fault-finding, diagnostic and problem-solving skills\n- Experience with planned and preventative maintenance (PPM)\n- Ability to read technical diagrams, manuals and equipment specifications\n- Strong understanding of health and safety requirements and safe working procedures\n- Experience using a CMMS such as OMNI or similar advantageous\n- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship\n- Ability to respond quickly to breakdowns and urgent maintenance requirements\n- Professional and guest-focused when working in occupied rooms, offices and public areas\n- Ability to work shifts, weekends, public holidays and assist with emergency call-outs when required\n- Valid South African ID\n- A fully updated CV with Red Seal certification, relevant qualifications and contactable reference details is essential\n\nWhat You’ll Be Doing\n- Carrying out day-to-day facilities maintenance, repairs and technical fault-finding throughout the property\n- Maintaining guest rooms, public areas, restaurants, kitchens, conference facilities and back-of-house operational areas\n- Inspecting, servicing and repairing HVAC, air-conditioning and refrigeration systems within your technical scope\n- Attending to plumbing faults, leaks, drainage issues and associated repairs\n- Carrying out electrical maintenance and fault-finding within your authorised scope\n- Completing general building maintenance and repairs to fixtures, fittings, doors, locks and equipment\n- Conducting planned and preventative maintenance to reduce breakdowns and equipment downtime\n- Responding promptly to urgent maintenance requests and technical breakdowns\n- Diagnosing faults, completing repairs and escalating specialist work when required\n- Working closely with Housekeeping, Front Office, F&B and other operational departments to resolve maintenance issues efficiently\n- Monitoring equipment performance and identifying recurring faults or potential maintenance concerns\n- Completing job cards, maintenance records and OMNI/CMMS tasks accurately\n- Following all required health, safety and environmental procedures\n-
