This role ensures the highest standards of service, quality, and hygiene are maintained across all outlets and events. The post holder is accountable for managing daily operations, coordinating staff, and driving business growth through excellent customer service and operational efficiency. The position demands a proactive approach to managing resources, budgeting, and compliance with health and safety regulations.\nKey Responsibilities\nManage and supervise all food and beverage operations including restaurants, bars, room service, banquets, and catering services.\nDevelop and implement strategies to maximise revenue and profitability while maintaining quality standards.\nRecruit, train, and develop food and beverage staff, ensuring adherence to company policies and service standards.\nMonitor stock levels, control costs, and manage procurement processes to ensure efficient inventory management.\nMaintain compliance with hygiene, health and safety, and licencing regulations at all times.\nPrepare and manage budgets, forecasts, and financial reports related to the food and beverage department.\nCoordinate with other departments to ensure seamless service delivery and enhance guest satisfaction.\nReview customer feedback and implement improvements to enhance the guest experience.\nOrganise and oversee special events, functions, and banquets to ensure successful execution.\nStay informed of industry trends and competitor activities to maintain competitive advantage.\nRequired Qualifications\nNational Senior Certificate or equivalent qualification.\nFormal qualification in Hospitality Management, Food and Beverage Management, or a related field is desirable.\nEducation\nCompletion of a recognised tertiary qualification in Hospitality or a related discipline is preferred but not mandatory with sufficient relevant experience.\nExperience\nMinimum of five years’ experience in food and beverage management within the hospitality or tourism industry.\nProven track record of successfully managing multiple food and beverage outlets or units.\nExperience working in a full-service hotel, resort, or similar establishment is advantageous.\nKnowledge and Skills\nStrong leadership and people management skills with the ability to motivate and develop a diverse team.\nExcellent organisational and time management abilities.\nSound financial acumen including budget management and cost control.\nGood understanding of food safety, hygiene standards, and licencing legislation.\nExceptional customer service skills with a guest-centric focus.\nAbility to work under pressure and adapt to changing priorities.\nEffective communication and interpersonal skills.\nProficiency in relevant computer software including point of sale systems and Microsoft Office.\nPreferred Qualifications\nAdvanced diploma or degree in Hospitality Management or a related field.\nCertification in food safety or health and safety management.\nExperience with international hospitality standards and practises.\nKnowledge of local legislation and cultural considerations within the Limpopo region.\nWorking Conditions\nThe role is based in Limpopo and requires full-time working hours, often including evenings, weekends, and public holidays to meet operational demands. The position involves a combination of office-based administrative tasks and active presence in operational areas. Physical stamina is necessary to manage long shifts and oversee multiple venues.
