Are you a driven, detail-oriented finance professional who enjoys working with numbers and thrives in a fast-paced environment? An expanding property investment company is looking for an ambitious and compliance-focused Accountant to join their growing team.
Reporting directly to the Financial Manager, this role offers excellent exposure to financial reporting, taxation, audits and broader financial operations within a dynamic and entrepreneurial environment.
Key Responsibilities
Assist the Financial Manager with financial reporting across subsidiaries.
Prepare and/or review monthly management packs.
Prepare annual financial statements and supporting schedules.
Manage and assist with the preparation of audit files.
Attend to and manage auditor queries where applicable.
Prepare and review tax computations, including provisional tax payments and dividend payouts.
Prepare tax returns on GreatSoft.
Assist with VAT verifications, income tax verifications and other SARS-related queries.
Prepare financial reporting for shareholders.
Conduct ad hoc financial analysis and support various finance-related projects.
Assist with documenting and improving business processes.
Requirements
BCom Accounting or equivalent qualification.
2-3 years' relevant accounting experience.
Experience in a small audit/accounting practice, or similar environment, would be advantageous.
SAIPA/SAICA registration is not required but would be beneficial.
Intermediate Excel skills.
Strong understanding of accounting, taxation and financial reporting.
