An expanding property investment company is looking for an ambitious and compliance-focused Accountant to join their growing team.\nReporting directly to the Financial Manager, this role offers excellent exposure to financial reporting, taxation, audits and broader financial operations within a dynamic and entrepreneurial environment.\nKey Responsibilities\nAssist the Financial Manager with financial reporting across subsidiaries.\n\nPrepare and/or review monthly management packs.\n\nPrepare annual financial statements and supporting schedules.\n\nManage and assist with the preparation of audit files.\n\nAttend to and manage auditor queries where applicable.\n\nPrepare and review tax computations, including provisional tax payments and dividend payouts.\n\nPrepare tax returns on GreatSoft.\n\nAssist with VAT verifications, income tax verifications and other SARS-related queries.\n\nPrepare financial reporting for shareholders.\n\nConduct ad hoc financial analysis and support various finance-related projects.\n\nAssist with documenting and improving business processes.\n\nRequirements\nBCom Accounting or equivalent qualification.\n\n2-3 years' relevant accounting experience.\n\nExperience in a small audit/accounting practice, or similar environment, would be advantageous.\n\nSAIPA/SAICA registration is not required but would be beneficial.\n\nIntermediate Excel skills.\n\nStrong understanding of accounting, taxation and financial reporting.\n\nKey Competencies\nHigh level of accuracy and attention to detail.\n\nStrong analytical and problem-solving abilities.\n\nExcellent organisational and time-management skills.\n\nDeadline-driven and able to work well under pressure.\n\nStrong work ethic and professional approach.\n\nTeam-oriented with good communication skills.\n\nAdaptable and willing to take ownership of responsibilities.\n\nEager to learn and develop within a growing organisation.\n\nPlease note that only shortlisted candidates will be contacted.
