BI/reporting tools being an advantage\nExperience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Syspro, Sage, etc.) is advantageous\nPrior Microsoft Dynamics 365 and Power BI experience would be advantageous\nAbility to work under pressure and adapt to changing priorities\nMust have a valid driver’s license with own vehicle or reliable transport\n The successful candidate will be responsible for:\nPreparing and reviewing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in line with IFRS.\nOverseeing statutory reporting, tax submissions, and liaising with auditors.\nEnsuring compliance with relevant industry regulations, environmental levies, VAT, and corporate tax.\nMaintaining robust internal controls and ensuring adherence to governance frameworks.\nLeading annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting processes.\nProviding detailed variance analysis and actionable insights to management.\nSupporting long-term financial planning, scenario modelling, and cash flow forecasting.\nOverseeing product costing, absorption costing, and bill of materials accuracy.\nMonitoring raw material, consumable, and finished goods inventory in high-volume production environments.\nSupporting supply chain and production teams with cost optimisation initiatives.\nDriving month-end close processes and delivering accurate management accounts.\nAnalysing profitability by product line, region, customer segment, and channel.\nSupporting margin improvement and operational efficiency projects.\nPartnering with sales, operations, and procurement teams on pricing, tenders, and contracts.\nEvaluating commercial deals, distributor agreements, and credit arrangements.\nSupporting working capital optimisation (AR/AP, credit control, supplier terms).\nManaging daily cash flow, banking relationships, and funding requirements.\nOverseeing foreign exchange exposure, hedging, and currency-related financial risks where applicable (common in chemical imports/exports).\nStrengthening financial controls in line with audit recommendations.\nMaintaining risk registers and ensuring compliance with financial, environmental, and safety-related reporting requirements.\nChampioning ethical financial practices and regulatory adherence.\nPreparing the budget within area of control.\nManaging the approved budget for area.\nPreparing cost tracking and variation reports.\nMaking recommendations for budget-affecting change requests.\nInforming FD timeously of potential over-spends.\nDriving finance process optimisation and system improvements (ERP, BI tools).\nSupporting digitalisation initiatives, automation of reconciliations, and improved reporting dashboards.\n Please note that subsequent to the screening and shortlisting process, all further communication will be entered into only with the shortlisted candidates.
