dedicated Food Quality Controller to oversee routine inspections, manage compliance audits, and ensure adherence to stringent meat industry regulations and food safety management systems at our Clients' Richards Bay facility.\nKey Responsibilities\nConduct routine inspections of raw materials, in-process products, and finished goods to ensure compliance with quality standards and regulatory requirements.\nEnsure strict adherence to all relevant legislation as well as meat industry-specific regulations.\nDevelop and maintain the Food Safety Management System within the facility.\nManage internal and external compliance audits.\nCompile new product specifications, contribute to product development for new lines, and carry out product testing.\nAnalyse trends and non-conformances to drive continuous improvement.\nLiaise directly with State Veterinarians.\nCollect and analyse samples for microbiological, physical, and chemical testing.\nMaintain accurate records of test results and provide timely reports to management.\nCollaborate with cross-functional teams to investigate and resolve quality issues.\nDevelop and implement quality control procedures and guidelines to improve product consistency.\nTrain and educate employees on quality control processes and procedures.\nMonitor and evaluate supplier performance to ensure raw materials meet quality specifications.\nStay up to date with industry trends and advances in food safety regulations.\nRequirementsBachelor's degree or National Diploma in Food Science, Microbiology, or a related field.\nPrior practical experience in food quality control or a similar role.\nStrong working knowledge of food safety regulations and industry standards.\nPractical experience with laboratory testing and analysis techniques.\nProficient in MS Office applications.\nAttributesExcellent attention to detail with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.\nStrong organisational and problem-solving skills.\nExceptional communication and interpersonal abilities for cross-functional collaboration.\nSalary R15 000 CTC monthly\n***Only shortlisted candidates will be
