construction experience without proven formwork exposure will not be sufficient for this position.\nKey Responsibilities\nManage and oversee formwork projects and site operations from start to completion.\nPlan, coordinate and supervise the supply, erection, use and dismantling of formwork systems.\nManage day-to-day site activities and ensure work progresses according to programme.\nCoordinate labour, subcontractors, materials, equipment and site resources.\nSupervise site teams and ensure productivity targets are achieved.\nInterpret construction drawings, specifications and project requirements.\nEnsure formwork is erected accurately and according to approved drawings and specifications.\nMonitor project progress against agreed programmes and deadlines.\nIdentify potential delays or site problems and implement corrective actions.\nLiaise with clients, contractors, engineers, quantity surveyors and other construction professionals.\nAttend site and progress meetings.\nCoordinate formwork requirements with the main contractor and other trades.\nEnsure materials and equipment are available when required.\nMonitor material usage, stock and wastage on site.\nAssist with project planning, costing and resource requirements where necessary.\nEnsure work is completed within agreed project budgets and timelines.\nManage variations and changes to project requirements.\nMaintain accurate site records, progress reports and relevant project documentation.\nEnsure quality standards are maintained throughout the project.\nMonitor workmanship and address quality issues promptly.\nEnsure all site activities comply with occupational health and safety requirements.\nMaintain professional relationships with clients and project stakeholders.\nMinimum Requirements\nMinimum 5 years' proven experience in Formwork - essential.\nPrevious experience as a Formwork Contracts Manager, Formwork Site Manager, Site Manager, Project Manager or similar role within the formwork sector.\nStrong practical knowledge of the supply, erection and management of formwork systems.\nSound knowledge of construction site operations and building processes.\nAbility to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.\nExperience managing construction teams, labour and subcontractors.\nStrong project planning and site coordination experience.\nGood understanding of construction health and safety requirements.\nStrong client and contractor liaison skills.\nGood administration and reporting ability.\nValid driver's licence.\nOwn reliable vehicle - essential.\nMust currently reside in Cape Town or the surrounding areas.\nLocation Requirement\nCandidates must already be based in Cape Town or within reasonable approach.\nStrong health and safety awareness.\nHands-on and results-driven management style.\nIdeal Candidate\nThe ideal candidate will be an experienced Formwork Contracts Manager or Site Manager who has spent at least 5 years directly involved in formwork construction projects.\nThey should understand the full formwork process, including planning, supply, erection, site coordination, labour management and project completion, and be comfortable managing projects and dealing directly with clients and contractors.\nStrict Screening Criteria\n\nApplicants will only be considered if they meet the following core requirements:\n5+ years' direct formwork experience\nPrevious formwork site / contracts management experience\nOwn vehicle\nValid driver's licence\nCurrently living in or around Cape Town\nCandidates with general building or civil construction experience but no substantial formwork experience will not be
