airlines, transporters, customs brokers and international agents.\nResolve operational challenges and customer escalations efficiently.\nMonitor operational performance, service levels and team productivity.\nCoach, mentor and develop team members to achieve operational excellence.\nBusiness Development & SalesDevelop and implement strategies to acquire new clients and grow revenue.\nBuild and manage a robust sales pipeline.\nIdentify, pursue and convert new business opportunities.\nConduct client meetings, presentations and commercial negotiations.\nGrow market share across sectors including manufacturing, mining, engineering, energy, construction and retail.\nExpand existing customer accounts and establish long-term client relationships.\nAchieve agreed sales, revenue and gross profit targets.\nCommercial ManagementReview quotations, freight rates and customer pricing structures.\nMonitor margins, profitability and job costing.\nEnsure billing accuracy and timely invoicing.\nIdentify opportunities to improve operational efficiencies and profitability.\nManage commercial risks and support strategic decision-making.\nCustomer Relationship ManagementMaintain strong relationships with customers and stakeholders.\nEnsure professional communication and service delivery.\nResolve customer queries and complaints effectively.\nDrive customer retention and repeat business opportunities.\nReporting & Performance ManagementPrepare operational and sales performance reports.\nTrack KPIs, shipment volumes, revenue and gross profit performance.\nMaintain accurate customer and operational records.\nProvide management with recommendations to improve business performance.\nMinimum Requirements\nMust have Sea Freight experience.\nRelevant qualification in Logistics, Supply Chain, Shipping or Freight Forwarding preferred.\nMinimum 5 years' experience within sea freight or logistics.\nPrevious experience leading or supervising a sea freight forwarding team.\nStrong knowledge of sea freight imports and exports, including FCL and LCL shipments.\nWorking knowledge of sea freight, customs processes, shipping documentation and Incoterms.\nProven success in business development and new customer acquisition.\nStrong understanding of freight pricing, costing and profitability.\nAdvanced Microsoft Excel and reporting skills.\nExperience using freight forwarding, ERP, CRM or transport management systems.\nExcellent communication, negotiation and problem-solving abilities.\nAdvantageous\nExisting network of logistics and freight forwarding industry contacts.\nExperience servicing sectors such as mining, engineering, manufacturing, construction or energy.\nExperience with CargoWise or similar freight forwarding platforms.\nValid driver's licence
