This is an exciting opportunity for a commercially minded finance professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and has a passion for financial accounting, cost accounting, and the agricultural export sector.\nKey Responsibilities\nAdminister and manage fruit pool accounting processes\n\nPrepare and process producer payments and remittance statements\n\nReconcile sales, commission and general ledger accounts\n\nProcess commercial invoices and manage balance sheet control accounts\n\nAssist with cash flow planning and foreign exchange transaction monitoring\n\nSupervise foreign currency bank accounts and related currency contracts\n\nAdminister debtors and creditors\n\nMonitor overseas market performance to support financial planning and reporting\n\nEnsure accurate cost allocation throughout the fruit production, packing and export process\n\nRequirements\nRelevant tertiary qualification in Accounting, Finance or a related field\n\nMinimum 5 years' experience in a financial accounting role\n\nPrevious experience within agriculture, fruit exports or FMCG will be highly advantageous\n\nStrong understanding of cost accounting and reconciliation processes\n\nExperience with foreign currency transactions and banking processes will be advantageous\n\nAdvanced Microsoft Excel skills\n\nExperience working on ERP/accounting systems such as Syspro will be advantageous\n\nStrong analytical, organisational and problem-solving skills\n\nExcellent attention to detail with the ability to meet strict deadlines\n\nStrong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team\n\nPlease note that daily travel to the Sundays River Valley is required.
