Operations:\n\nOversee all front- and back-of-house operations, including the restaurant, bar and kitchen.\nMaintain an active presence during trading, observing and managing service to ensure a consistent guest experience.\nCoordinate kitchen and service teams to maintain food quality, presentation and efficient service.\nManage reservations, seating and service flow during peak periods.\nHandle guest feedback and resolve complaints professionally.\nEnsure equipment and facilities are maintained and operational.\n\nTeam Management:\n\nRecruit, train, schedule and manage staff across all departments.\nPlan rosters according to trading demands and labour budgets.\nManage staff performance, disciplinary processes and development.\nLead team briefings and maintain clear communication and service expectations.\n\nFinancial & Stock Control:\n\nAnalyse food cost, gross profit and labour cost, investigate variances and implement corrective action.\nManage budgets, expenditure and overall restaurant profitability.\nOversee cash control, daily cash-ups and POS procedures.\nManage stock control, ordering, stocktakes and supplier relationships.\nMonitor stock rotation, wastage and losses.\nPrepare weekly management reports covering financial and operational performance.\n\nStandards & Compliance:\n\nEnsure compliance with health, safety, hygiene and liquor-service requirements.\nMaintain high standards of cleanliness throughout the restaurant, bar and kitchen.\nSupport promotions and events that encourage repeat business while maintaining a welcoming, family-friendly atmosphere.\n\nRequirements:\n\nProven experience as a General Manager or Operations Manager within a busy restaurant.\nExperience managing a large-capacity, high-volume operation, preferably in a family or pub-style environment.\nA solid understanding of kitchen operations , including food preparation workflows, service coordination and kitchen controls.\nStrong knowledge of front-of-house and bar operations.\nSound financial skills, including food-cost analysis, gross profit management, labour control and budgeting.\nExperience managing stock, purchasing and supplier relationships.\nStrong leadership skills, including recruitment, training, scheduling, performance management and disciplinary processes.\nGood knowledge of POS systems, cash controls and management reporting.\nExcellent communication, organisational and problem-solving skills.\nA hands-on approach and the ability to make sound decisions under pressure.\nWillingness to work evenings, weekends and public
