Responsibilities\nLead the overall finance function, including financial strategy, budgeting, forecasting, management reporting and financial planning.\nPartner with the Managing Director and EXCO to drive revenue quality, profitability, cash generation and operational performance.\nOversee financial modelling, scenario planning, performance dashboards and variance analysis to support informed business decisions.\nTake ownership of procurement strategy and governance, including supplier negotiations, sourcing strategies, cost optimisation and contract compliance.\nDrive effective working capital management, cash flow planning, stock control and inventory forecasting.\nEvaluate product margins, capital expenditure, rental fleet utilisation, return on investment and the commercial viability of business initiatives.\nStrengthen internal controls, risk management, corporate governance and compliance with statutory requirements.\nEnsure financial discipline through adherence to delegated authority levels, budget approvals and sound commercial decision-making.\nLead and develop a high-performing finance team, embedding accountability, accuracy and continuous improvement.\nCollaborate across procurement, supply chain, operations, sales, rentals and other business units to align financial performance with strategic objectives.\nLeverage advanced reporting tools, financial modelling and AI-enabled analytics to improve forecasting, reporting and decision-making.\nMinimum Requirements\nA qualified Chartered Accountant (CA(SA)) is strongly preferred and may be required for appointment.\nMinimum of seven years’ post-articles experience in senior finance leadership, financial management or a similar role.\nStrong knowledge of IFRS, South African statutory requirements, VAT, imports and exports, foreign exchange contracts (FECs), corporate governance and internal controls.\nDemonstrated experience in budgeting, forecasting, working capital management, standard costing, audit, risk management and commercial negotiations.\nAdvanced ERP, Excel, financial modelling, data analysis and dashboarding capabilities.\nProven ability to translate financial information into practical commercial insights and strategic recommendations.\nAdvantageous Experience\nExperience in one or more of the following environments will be highly advantageous:Equipment and plant rental\nIndustrial sales and distribution\nTurnkey projects and automation\nMulti-channel trading or reseller businesses\nWelding industry\nKnowledge of AI applications in financial reporting, sales analysis, supply chain modelling and forecasting will be an additional advantage.\nKey Competencies\nThe ideal candidate will demonstrate:Strong strategic
