Gr 8 to 9 English Teacher - Randburg - October 2026 or Jan 2027

HIGH SCHOOL ENGLISH TEACHER - CAPS | CHRISTIAN SCHOOL

Location: South Africa Start Date: Ideally October 2026 or January 2027

We are seeking a passionate and experienced High School English Teacher to join a well-established Christian school.

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging, high-quality English lessons within the CAPS curriculum, while contributing positively to the academic and Christian ethos of the school.

Requirements:

• Relevant teaching qualification (BEd, PGCE or equivalent)

• SACE registration is essential

• Experience teaching High School English - Gr 12 teaching experience would be ideal

• Strong knowledge and practical experience of the CAPS curriculum

• Excellent communication and classroom-management skills

• A passion for English and for developing learners' academic potential

• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a school team

• Commitment to the values and ethos of a Christian school

• Previous experience with Grade 12 would be advantageous

? Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver engaging English lessons across the relevant High School grades

• Assess, monitor and report on learner progress

• Prepare learners for CAPS assessments and examinations

• Create a positive, structured and stimulating classroom environment

• Participate in school activities and contribute to the broader school community

• Support the school's Christian values and educational philosophy

October 2026 would be ideal, although candidates available from January 2027 will also be considered.
