Key responsibilities

Strategic procurement management

• Develop and implement a comprehensive procurement strategy aligned with business goals.
• Oversee all purchasing, including operational, Capex, and project-related needs.
• Establish and enforce procurement policies while ensuring compliance with legal, financial, and corporate standards.
• Continuously assess trends to optimize practices, reduce costs, and maintain the best quality at the best price.

• Source, qualify, and build strong supplier relationships.
• Negotiate contracts, pricing, and SLAs while conducting supplier evaluations.
• Manage supplier audits and approvals, ensuring quality and compliance.
• Organize annual supplier meetings to identify value-added partnerships.

• Coordinate daily procurement across all departments (F&B, Engineering, Housekeeping, Front Office, Administration).
• Monitor stock levels, turnover, and waste reduction.
• Approve purchase orders, track deliveries, and resolve discrepancies.

• Collaborate with finance to manage budgets and forecast procurement needs.
• Maintain accurate procurement documentation.
• Conduct cost-benefit analyses and prepare performance reports.
• Implement strategies to improve quality and cost efficiency.

• Ensure adherence to South African regulations and internal controls.
• Promote ethical sourcing, sustainability, and local supplier engagement.
• Mitigate procurement-related risks.

• Lead, coach, and develop the procurement team for excellence.
• Foster collaboration and continuous improvement.
• Refine SOPs related to purchasing and stock control.

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in procurement management (hospitality industry advantageous).
• Strong knowledge of supply chain, vendor management, and procurement regulations.
• Excellent negotiation, leadership, and analytical skills.
• Financial acumen with proven cost-saving achievements.

Must hold a valid South African ID
