You will work closely with internal teams to ensure seamless day-to-day operations while also shaping the long-term IT strategy, architecture, and governance of the organisation.\nThe role suits a strong strategic thinker with a hands-on approach, excellent people leadership capability, and deep technical expertise across Apple/macOS environments, networking, security, and enterprise IT operations.\nKey Responsibilities\nLead and manage the IT function, including direct oversight, mentoring, and development of IT support staff\nOwn end-to-end IT service delivery, including ticket resolution, escalation handling, and service desk governance\nOversee daily IT operations including backups, mail flow, server health, and network/wireless stability\nManage onboarding and offboarding processes, including user access, email setup, licensing, and asset allocation\nEnsure smooth operation of boardroom and hybrid meeting technology across platforms (plug-and-play reliability)\nMaintain and manage IT assets, hardware allocation, tracking, and lifecycle management\nProvide escalation support for complex technical issues across infrastructure, applications, and end-user environments\nManage IT procurement, supplier relationships, licensing, and contract negotiations\nMaintain and improve cybersecurity posture, including breach prevention, monitoring, and compliance enforcement\nEnsure alignment with POPIA, information security standards, and internal governance requirements\nOversee CCTV, access control, and internal security systems with strict confidentiality standards\nConduct regular patch management across servers and critical systems\nMaintain up-to-date network, system, and infrastructure documentation and diagrams\nSupport IT project delivery, including planning, execution, and stakeholder coordination\nEnsure daily technical checks of critical systems including network, servers, and connectivity\nProvide after-hours support when required for critical incidents or business needs\nIT Manager Specific ResponsibilitiesOwn IT budgeting, forecasting, and financial tracking across the IT function\nDefine and maintain IT roadmap, architecture, and long-term technology strategy\nLead business-wide IT transformation initiatives, including AI adoption and digital enablement\nDrive ISO27001-aligned security and compliance initiatives\nAct as Information Officer liaison for regulatory and information governance requirements\nLead supplier evaluation, procurement decisions, and cost optimisation initiatives\nOversee enterprise-wide IT risk management and security posture improvements\nFacilitate IT training and upskilling initiatives for both technical staff and end users\nEnsure continuous improvement of systems, processes, and service delivery maturity\nRequired SkillsMinimum 5+ years' experience as an IT Manager with direct people management responsibility\nStrong expertise in Apple/macOS, iOS, and enterprise integration with Microsoft 365 and business applications\nSolid networking and wireless troubleshooting experience with a focus on stability and uptime\nStrong understanding of cybersecurity principles, POPIA compliance, and enterprise risk management\nHands-on experience managing IT service desks, ticketing systems, and operational support environments\nStrong technical proficiency across hardware, software, licensing, and enterprise IT systems\nExperience managing IT budgets, procurement, and supplier relationships\nStrong problem-solving mindset with the ability to operate under pressure and resolve complex issues\nExperience managing hybrid meeting and boardroom AV/IT environments\nStrong understanding of IT asset management and lifecycle governance\nExcellent communication skills with the ability to engage across technical and non-technical stakeholders\nStrong organisational and leadership capability in fast-moving environments\nDesirable SkillsExposure to ISO27001 implementation or audit processes\nExperience with CCTV and physical security systems management\nUnderstanding of AI technologies and their impact on business operations\nExperience leading IT transformation or digital modernisation initiatives\nProject management experience in IT infrastructure or systems rollout\nStrong documentation skills including network and systems architecture diagrams\nQualificationsIndustry-related Degree or Diploma, or equivalent practical IT experience\n5+ years in IT Management, Infrastructure, or Senior IT Operations roles\nProven track record of leading IT teams and managing enterprise IT environments\nApplication Note\nIf you have not received feedback within two weeks, please consider your application unsuccessful.
