This includes the management and maintenance of access control infrastructure and CCTV architecture at the operation. The role also involves applying the latest technology to ensure user information security.Responsibilities:\nAccess / CCTV / IT Support and Technical Services:Provide first-line and second-line technical support to end-users for hardware, software, and network-related issues.\nInstall, configure, and maintain computersystems, laptops, printers, and other IT peripherals.\nTroubleshoot and resolve issues related to access control systems, including user access management and system functionality.\nMaintain and support the CCTV infrastructure, including camera functionality, recording systems, and user access.\nAssist with the setup and maintenance of network infrastructure components.\nLog and track support requests, ensuring timely resolution and effective communication with users.\nDocument solutions and procedures for common IT issues.\n\nTechnical Security Support:Implement and maintain security measures to protect user information and network infrastructure.\nAssist in the administration of user access controls and permissions.\nContribute to the implementation of data security policies and procedures.\nStay updated on the latest security threats and vulnerabilities.\n\n SHERQ Adherence:Comply with all Safety, Health, Environment, Risk, and Quality (SHERQ) policies and procedures.\nIdentify and report any potential hazards or unsafe conditions.\nParticipate in SHERQ initiatives and training programs.\n\nWork Ethics:Maintain a high level of professionalism and integrity in all interactions.\nDemonstrate a strong work ethic, including punctuality, responsibility, and commitment.\nWork effectively both independently and as part of a team.\nAdhere to company policies and procedures.\n\nMinimum Requirements:\nGrade 12\nCOMPTIA A+ Information Technology certificate\nCOMPTIA N+ Information Technology certificate\nMicrosoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE) or Microsoft Certified IT Professional (MCITP) certificate\nRelevant tertiary qualification in Information Technology or a related field (advantageous).\nMinimum of three (3) years of operational network and technical support experience.\nExperience in supporting and maintaining access control systems and CCTV architecture is highly advantageous.\nFormal Training:Sound understanding of MCSE Basic Server Module and Basic Active Directory Module concepts.\n\n Physical Requirements:Ability to differentiate between all colours (essential for cable identification, etc.).\nAbility to work at heights (for installing or maintaining equipment).\nAbility to work in confined spaces and dusty environments (depending on operational requirements).\n\nPolicies and Procedures:Thorough understanding of IT policies and procedures.\nFamiliarity with procurement policies.\n\n Computer Literacy:Basic user proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).\nProficiency in applicable discipline-specific software and hardware programs.\nAdvanced user knowledge of Windows XP Operating System (and ideally more recent Windows operating systems).\n\nDiagnostic Skills:Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for
