Job Summary

The Junior Accountant will support the finance department in maintaining accurate financial records, assisting with reporting, and ensuring compliance with internal controls and accounting standards. The role requires strong attention to detail, accountability, and the ability to work both independently and within a team.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with day-to-day accounting transactions and journal entries
• Process invoices, payments, and expense claims accurately
• Perform account reconciliations (bank, suppliers, and general ledger)
• Support month-end and year-end closing processes
• Assist with preparing financial reports and management accounts
• Maintain proper filing and documentation for audits and compliance
• Support budgeting and forecasting activities where required
• Ensure adherence to company financial policies and procedures
• Liaise with internal departments and external stakeholders when needed

Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• Minimum 2 years’ finance/accounting experience
• Strong understanding of basic accounting principles
• Proficient in MS Excel and accounting systems (advantage)
• Detail-oriented with strong numerical accuracy
• Ability to work in a fast-paced corporate environment
