PURPOSE:To support the Design Office and engineering operations through mechanical design, product development, technical problem solving, and research and development activities related to water and wastewater treatment equipment and systems.\nDUTIES:\nDesign and develop mechanical equipment, components, and systems in line with project and operational requirements.\nPrepare and review engineering calculations, technical drawings, specifications, and Bills of Materials (BOMs).\nSupport product development, research, and innovation initiatives within the company.\nAssist with prototype development, testing, and implementation of design improvements.\nWork closely with the Design Office, production, procurement, and project teams to support project execution.\nProvide technical support during manufacturing, assembly, installation, and commissioning processes.\nInvestigate and resolve engineering and design-related problems.\nEnsure engineering designs comply with company standards, ISO requirements, and applicable engineering principles.\nAssist with evaluating materials, equipment, and manufacturing processes to improve efficiency and performance.\nParticipate in design reviews, continuous improvement initiatives, and technical meetings.\nMaintain accurate engineering documentation, calculations, and project records.\nSupport the Engineering Manager with technical reporting, project planning, and development initiatives.\nQUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:\nBachelor’s Degree or National Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.\nMinimum 3-5 years’ experience in a mechanical engineering or manufacturing environment.\nExperience in water treatment, process equipment, or industrial manufacturing environments will be advantageous.\nProficiency in SolidWorks or similar 3D CAD software.\nGood understanding of mechanical systems, fabrication processes, and materials.\nComputer literate in Microsoft Office applications.\nSKILLS AND COMPETENCIES:\nStrong technical and analytical skills.\nGood problem-solving and decision-making ability.\nAttention to detail and high level of accuracy.\nGood communication
