This role sets the context for the output team to ensure their combined efforts are directed towards the delivery of the strategic plan of the company.\nA major focus of this role is to manage people and systems to achieve the best possible outcomes while achieving safety, environment, quality and cost objectives.\nDeliver accountabilities within budget\nEnsure that monthly cost review meetings are held for both projects and the workshop\nIdentify opportunities for improvement and prioritise these improvements and define projects\nEstablish an annual capital plan for your areas to both sustain and enhance processes\nCompile annual budget for area and monitor expenditure against plan and report on variance\nMonitor the cost and effectiveness of daily production activities\nEnsure effective and efficient deployment and utilisation of all resources\nAccountable for the overall HSEQ Management at the local subsidiaries and at the client, sub-contractor and supplier sites\nAccountable for the implementation of the HSE Management System in line with ISO and OSHA standards\nEnsure controls are in place that protect own and others’ health and safety, the environment and the plant\nCoach your team to reinforce safe practices as well as promptly correcting unsafe practices\nEnsure all HSEQ incidents are responded to, reported and investigated in a timely manner\nHas the ability or has been a legal appointment (16.2)\nRequirements\nDegree in Operations Management, Engineering or similar field\nGreen belt or Lean Master training certification is desired\nSafety and/or Quality certification\nSolid computer literacy\nSAP exposure will be advantageous\nManagement/Leadership Training\nLean Six Sigma training advantageous\nMinimum of 8 years technical experience and management responsibility in a heavy industrial operation, projects/manufacturing/engineering workshop environment\nPrevious experience in managing Health, Safety, Environment and Quality\nPrevious experience at executive management level is preferred, with sound leadership skills (including the ability to mentor and coach others)\nAbility to work as part of a cross-functional team with an inclusive management style\nDemonstrated ability to plan and manage self and others in a dynamic work environment\nExcellent verbal and written communication skills\nAbility to identify opportunities for continuous improvement\nActively displays consistent behaviour that demonstrates commitment through actions to the values\nStrong negotiating skills to
