Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with the installation, maintenance, testing, and repair of power systems and associated equipment.
  • Perform fault-finding and troubleshooting on electrical components and power systems.
  • Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance.
  • Test electrical components and systems using appropriate testing equipment.
  • Read and interpret basic wiring diagrams, technical drawings, and system specifications where required.
  • Identify technical faults and assist with implementing corrective measures.
  • Assist with the testing and commissioning of power system components.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance, repairs, and test results.
  • Follow established safety procedures and quality standards.
  • Work alongside technical personnel to resolve problems and ensure reliable system performance.

Minimum Requirements

  • Grade 12 / Matric will be advantageous but is not essential.
  • No formal qualification is required.
  • Practical experience in electrical systems, power systems, electronics, or technical maintenance will be advantageous.
  • Basic technical and mechanical aptitude.
  • Good problem-solving and fault-finding abilities.
  • Willingness to learn and develop technical skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

The ideal candidate will be practical, reliable, and technically inclined, with an interest in power systems and electrical equipment. They should be eager to learn, follow instructions carefully, and demonstrate a hands-on approach to identifying and resolving technical problems.
