Production Planning Coordinator

What You'll Do:
Assist with the creation and updating of production schedules based on available capacity and customer deadlines.
Monitor production progress, identify delays or risks, and inform the PPC Manager.
Update job statuses in the system and maintain proper documentation.
Follow up on outstanding work-in-progress (WIP) to ensure alignment with daily and weekly plans.
Track material availability and coordinate with procurement for timely delivery of long lead-time items.
Support the release of jobs in ERP systems (e.g., SAP), ensuring routing and BOM accuracy.
Assist in managing and updating production data, sales orders, and job cards.
Liaise with logistics and suppliers to follow up on deliveries and collections.
Coordinate with warehouse and dispatch teams to ensure jobs are ready for delivery as planned.
Prepare and update daily, weekly, and monthly PPC reports for internal meetings.
Monitor KPIs such as on-time delivery, production output, and material availability.
Support continuous improvement initiatives and assist with basic time studies and layout updates.
Requirements:
Matric
At least 2 years of experience in a production or planning environment
Working knowledge of ERP systems (SAP preferred)
Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and Outlook
Valid driver’s license
Strong organizational and time management skills
Ability to work effectively within a team
Familiarity with the following:
RPE (Risk and Performance Evaluation)
Basic understanding of production layouts
