Property Accountant / Property Bookkeeper with Payroll experience

Our client, an established group of companies specializing in commercial property, is seeking a seasoned Property Accountant with payroll expertise to assume a pivotal role in their finance team. Duties:
Manage the full monthly bookkeeping cycle up to trial balance
Conduct bank reconciliations and prepare journal entries
Compile management accounts and annual financial statements
Handle VAT 201 submissions, reconciliations, and EMP201 filings
Calculate and submit tax returns via e-filing systems
Oversee tenant billing functions and full payroll administration
Manage debtors and creditors ledgers, cashbooks, and invoicing
Prepare month-end payments and allocate bank transactions
Verify petty cash expenses and perform tenant and account reconciliations
Contribute to general financial administrative functions and audit preparations
Requirements:
3+ Years of expereince as a Property Bookkeeper/Accountant.
BCom Degree in Financial Accounting or an equivalent qualification - advantagious.
Completed SAICA or SAIPA articles with at least 3 years of post-article experience - highly advantagious but not required.
Hands-on experience in payroll administration.
Proficiency in Pastel Accounting software and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
Strong bookkeeping and financial reporting expertise.
Ability to perform detailed reconciliations and financial analysis.
Must to Have:
Previous experience within the property industry
