This role requires strong technical expertise, project management capabilities, and commercial awareness to deliver competitive proposals that support the company's growth objectives and meet customer requirements.\nKey Responsibilities:\nProposal Development\nAnalyse client specifications, tender documents, and technical requirements to prepare detailed and accurate proposals.\nDevelop comprehensive proposal execution plans.\nCoordinate with internal teams (engineering, procurement, finance, etc.) to gather and validate information.\nWork closely with the Engineering team to produce technical designs, cost estimates, and project schedules for inclusion in proposals.\nEnsure all proposals adhere to regulatory, safety, and environmental standards.\nStakeholder Engagement\nServe as the key point of contact for proposal-related queries from clients and internal teams.\nLiaise with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive quotations and verify technical and commercial details.\nPresent proposal content to clients, addressing questions and providing clarifications as required.\nStrategic Contributions\nSupport market research and competitor analysis to inform proposal strategies.\nProvide insights into pricing strategies to improve competitiveness and profitability.\nDocumentation and Reporting\nMaintain organised and accurate documentation of proposals, including costs, schedules, and client feedback.\nPrepare routine reports on proposal performance, success rates, and key learnings for continuous improvement.\nUpdate and manage the project pipeline based on market leads from the Business Development team.\nQualifications & Registrations:\nBachelor's degree in engineering (Civil, Environmental, Mechanical, or related field).\nProfessional Registration with ECSA is advantageous.\nTraining or certification in proposal management methodologies (e.g., APMP) is beneficial.\nExperience:\nMinimum of 5 years' experience in a proposal engineering role, preferably within the water industry.\nProven experience preparing technical and commercial proposals for EPC projects.\nSkills & Competencies:\nTechnical & Professional Skills\nStrong knowledge of water treatment, water distribution, and infrastructure systems.\nExcellent project management skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines.\nProficiency in proposal management software and tools.\nAdvanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).\nStrong analytical, problem-solving, and detail-orientation skills.\nBehavioural Competencies:\nCustomer-focused with a deep understanding of client needs.\nResults-driven with a proactive approach to seeking new business opportunities.\nHighly collaborative and capable of
