& Supplier Management:\n\nManage daily purchasing and procurement activities across the hotel.\nSource food, beverages, housekeeping supplies, guest amenities, engineering supplies, stationery and other operational requirements.\nObtain and compare quotations, benchmark prices and negotiate competitive pricing and terms.\nDevelop relationships with approved suppliers and identify suitable alternative suppliers and products.\nMonitor supplier quality, delivery times and service levels.\nIdentify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality.\n\nStock Control & Deliveries:\n\nMonitor stock levels, par levels, lead times and delivery schedules.\nCoordinate purchasing requirements with Finance, Food and Beverage, Kitchen, Housekeeping, Engineering and other departments.\nAssist with stock counts and investigate discrepancies.\nMonitor slow-moving, excess and obsolete stock.\nEnsure deliveries match purchase orders, specifications and agreed prices.\nResolve shortages, damaged goods, supplier discrepancies and invoice queries.\n\nControls, Reporting & Improvement:\n\nProcess purchase orders accurately and obtain the required authorisation.\nEnsure purchases comply with approved budgets, hotel standards and procurement policies.\nMaintain accurate procurement records and supporting documentation for audits.\nSupport budget preparation and departmental cost-control initiatives.\nPrepare purchasing reports and provide management with relevant cost information.\nImprove purchasing processes and support responsible sourcing and sustainability objectives.\n\nRequirements:\n\nGrade 12 / Matric.\nA relevant tertiary qualification in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Purchasing, Hospitality Management or a related field would be advantageous.\nAt least 3-5 years’ purchasing or procurement experience, preferably within hospitality.\nProven experience managing multiple suppliers and purchasing categories.\nStrong negotiation and supplier-management skills.\nGood understanding of stock control and inventory management.\nStrong financial and numerical skills.\nExcellent Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office skills.\nExperience using hotel procurement, inventory or ERP systems.\nKnowledge of food, beverage, housekeeping and hotel operational supplies would be advantageous.\nKnowledge of South African hospitality procurement practices and supplier requirements.\nOwn reliable transport and a valid driver’s licence are
